THE PLANNING PROCESS
We treat each client as an individual
with a unique vision of financial success. Because we are committed to helping clients develop a financial plan
that reflects their goals, priorities and values, we explore the client's financial situation in depth. Our financial
planning process typically involves four meetings. |

|
 |

First Meeting: This meeting is an
informal conversation about the prospective client’s interest in financial planning. During this meeting we will
answer their questions, explain how we work with clients, and tell them what we would charge for the financial
planning services they are interested in. (About 1 hour.) This meeting is complimentary.
Second Meeting: This meeting is
devoted to gathering information about the client’s financial life. During this meeting we will review their financial
documents and lead them through a structured fact finding process. We will also discuss their financial goals,
values, and priorities. (About 2 hours.)
Third Meeting: This meeting is devoted
to presenting the client’s financial plan. We will review the plan and answer any questions they may have. Once
we have arrived at a common understanding of the recommendations in their plan, they will take the plan home so
that they can continue to evaluate our recommendations. (About 2 hours.)
Fourth Meeting: This meeting is
devoted to implementation. In this meeting, we will discuss how to implement those recommendations that the client
agrees with. We will also revise any information in the plan that is not accurate, and answer questions they may
have. Typically, we will set up an appointment to confer with them in one year. We believe that financial planning
is a process –financial circumstances change and plans need to be updated on an on-going basis.
Ongoing Advice: During the course
of the year following the presentation of the plan clients can ask for advice on any topic discussed in the planning
process. |
